Default 100 gal project for wife

I have a 100 gal acrylic that has not been drilled and is empty.

I would like to drill it and build internal overflows but I am finding the opinions on size and type of plumbing, bulkheads, locations seem to change with the author. The tank will be seen from all sides so that I need to keep it as neat as possible.

The tank will feed into a sump, skimmer, filter and possibly a refugium before returning back. Sump located within the stand.

Drilling and plumbing is no problem. The recommended size of the bulkhead and internal overflow box is, knowing the larger I go, the larger the return pump has to be but I do not want to go too small.
Locations of valves and skimmer also seem to change with who wrote the article.

Suggested articles, links or suggestions would be appreciated so that I get a working system the first time.

Thanks

Hmmmm I guess I would start with wanting to look at the tank from all sides. I would think about an overflow in the center of the tank. Something like 8x5 with a 1" return and a 2" intake. You can probly use a Mag drive 9 with a ball valve to adjust the flow to the tank. Ball valve after the pump in the return line. Skimmer underneath with the refugium. This is what I might do other people might not. But since no one is helping out on this one. Here you go.
