| Its common for the bottom to be tempered but not the sides.If the sticker was on the bottom I would think the bottom is tempered but not the sides.I've never personally seen or heard of a 55 having tempered sides.

| Be careful! I was doing a similar search for information on drilling aquariums. Marineland (Perfecto) has a document on their website that specifies which panels (if any) of their aquariums are tempered. Their 55G has all panels tempered! I am not sure what brand you have. I looked on Aqueon's website (All Glass Aquariums) and couldn't find a similar document.
