| It's a tad bit off topic for a reef forum. Pretend its a mangrove tank, LOL. But, my GF will soon be upgrading to a 40g breeder for her turtles, I've read that rimless tanks use thicker glass but since it will only be about half full, if I would be okay pulling the upper rim off a normal tank? I've seen it done on 10g nano's. Input? |

| Not a good idea, but if you do decide to do it, keep us posted. Remember the top rim provides reinforcement to the tank, each gallon of water weighs 9 pounds....
