| Hi Everybody! I am now building a protein skimmer and had some leftover clear acrilic pipes and I would like to make one or two media reactors. I was thinking of taking two pieces of pipes at lest 12" high and covering the bottom of the pipes with a rectangular piece of acrillic. The piece of acrilic will have a bulkhead for each pipe and the flow will be from the bottom-upwards. I would like for the flow to come from the outflow of the skimmer. This way I will not need to use another pump. The other idea I had was to make a U shaped pvc and acrilic pipe where the overflow of the skimmer or sump will pourin one side and exit the other. Again this is to make the media reactors without adding an extra waterpump or powerhead. What do you guys think of these desings? What would you do? Any desing ideas or coments would be great, Thank You and HAPPY REEFING!
