Default Hard plumbing over tubing

Whats the benefits of using PVC for your plumbing vs. using tubing?

I think the only benefit is a cleaner look IMO...

I would think that glued pvc connections are less likely to leak.

True, the glued connections don't leak as much...but....You need to have some way of getting the connections removed in case of maintainence/emergency/etc. I wouldn't want to have all of the connections hard plumbed in.

Myself, I am hard plumbing, so here's my plan for it.

At any turn, 45 or 90, I am going to put a union in. I figure that way, should I have to take anything apart, I'll be able to without the use of a hacksaw.

I hard plumbed my whole overflow system, but did half and half with my return to give me a little more flexibility in the placement of my pump.
