Default Building a refugium - glass or plexi

I'm using my old 55g to build a refugium, I know it's probably too big but I figure it would also help because I'll have more volume of water in my system. My display tank is a 75g. I'm thinking about using 1/2 of the 55g to somewhat automate my water changes (I'll also clean the display tank). I have both 1/4" glass and 1/4" plexi that I would have to cut for the dividers, since plexi is easier to cut should I go with the plexi?

Also, any thoughts/suggestions on using 1/2 of the 55g for my water changes would be great.

thanx

Default Re: Building a refugium - glass or plexi

Its much easier to silicone glass to glass and plexi to plexi. IMO its best to not mix and match.
