Default magnified lighting

ok i had this dream about me and my friend and we were using a magnifying glass to burn a piece of wood and well then it hit me what if we got a magnifying glass and put it under our lights and that would get us more watts and no more expensive lights and stuff. would this be able to work or is it just a dream.

There is quite a difference in magnified light and amplified light. Magnified light is concentrated, but 200 watts is still 200 watts.

see, i dont think it would, especialls since all that light would have to be concentrated onto ONE coral group. you would need multible lights for this to even be plausible.

Blind,in the context of what you asked you would more likely make fish soup. Just as it would burn wood it will boil water.
