Default building a refugium

I have aquestion about building a refugium and how many compartments i will need for it.I have a 75 gallon tank witha 29 gallon refugium.depending on how many baffles i need will all those becut at the same size or should they be stepped down as they go.Also how do I figure out what size pump I will need with a hang on overflow.thank you in advance

lol. Me and tonz just had a interesting talk about something like this and i showed him this. It is really simple and i am almost positive what i will be modeling mine after once i build it.

Seems likes it would be easy to recreate and relatively cheap if you already have an old tank. Hope this helped. As for the hang on overflow and the pumping question i will hopefully be talking to JVHarding about that and will post back when i figure out how that all works.BTW, what type of overflow were you looking at getting because aquatraders has a 1400GPH for i think 40 dollars.

Hang-on Continuous Siphon Overflow 1400 gph w/ 2 Bulkheads - 704009

Here is a design you can use either by refitting an old tank or building one from acrylic.It follows the k.i.s.s. theory closely.
