Default Paint in tank?????????????????

I would like to paint some pieces of PVC to place in my tank to direct some water flow from a power head. Is it safe to go to Home Depot or some where and buy some plastic paint and paint PVC to go into a tank?

Use sand paper to rough up your PVC this promotes the growth of coraline algae on the PVC faster!

My LFS recommended to lather the PVC with reef safe adhesive (the same used for attaching rock to rock) and then putting LS/shells/etc on it. I am still in the process of changing over to my 100 gal tank (from a 29Gal BioCube) and have not gotten that far yet so I don't have pictures.

I would not paint anything going inside the tank. Like someone else said, sand the PVC and wait. In time purple spots will cover it.
