I realize this is a repetitive question but I need your advice before I proceed with this project.

I have a Pro Clear 125 sump that looks like this.

Want it to become this:

Is this plan going to work?

I'd add a bubble trap before the return pump.

I have the container that fits under aquarium. I'm basically adding baffles, skimmer, rocks and plants to it. I'm not quite sure what a bubble trap is so I guess that should have been my question to you.

Why would you want to change the shape of it by angling one side. Its probly safer with the taller sides.

Sorry first pic is wrong. It came with the slope. Not looking to modify that part of it.
