Icon14 Finally A Calcium Reactor!

I finally got my used knop calcium reactor hooked up and running this afternoon. A little DIY and had it running in no time. Set the PH controller to 6.5 slow drip on the effluent side into the sump cup where the controller monitors the PH in the reactor. Thus turning on and off the Co2 that is fed to the reactor. Calcium @ 440/////DKH 18.2 out of the drip cup......Calcium out of the main tank @ 440 and the DKH @9.8 not much change on the calcium or DKH since the last tests but tommarow will tell the tale.

Well some ups and downs with the reactor I had a problem with the tank today and my wife had to unplug the whole thing so it didnt overflow go figure a snail in the overflow pipe clogged it and would not let water into the sump just from the sump to the tank... But after an hour it was back running thank god I live 2 miles from work.... So the calcium reactor didnt get to make a who;le 24 hour run for testing so I tested any way... I think I need a new gauge and syleniod set up with needle valve I cant get the one I have to stay dialed in after it shuts off the Co2. When it comes back on the Co2 does not go back to the same bubble count.. Needle wheel might need to be replaced. Hard to fine tune... But back in the saddle. Sorry jim I know you need one..
