 sump issue ....pics inside i have them arcrilic and i already got them theres just about a 2 inch gap of space so i was wondering if i could just silicon that right up and was wondwering that be fine...i messed up cuz i mesured it with the black rim so i came out short. hope the pictures help....

| Re: sump issue ....pics inside That acrylic looks pretty thin too. What thickness is it? The thin stuff ends up bowing from pressure.

| Re: sump issue ....pics inside You can go to lowe's or the home depot and get EPDM weatherseal (stuff for door and window gaps) only the EPDM stuff is safe for the fish tank. wetwebmedia has an article on it but I cant find it. I do know its safe though. I remember from the article you want a gap on each side almost like you have from the mistake because the weatherseal stuff is thick, it also allows you to change your baffles if need be down the road. Let us know what u end up doing. |
