Default bio cube protein skimmer

I have a 14 gallon bio cube and bought the bio cube protein skimmer. Understand where it goes but does it replace the filter or are you supposed to wedge the filter in there too?? Please help if you know

No, you don't wedge it in. You won't need the cheap plastic slide in they provide if you have the skimmer, besides, you also have bio balls or live rock rubble in the middle chamber. P.S. I have been looking at the skimmer for months for my 14 gal. Bio so let me/us know if it performs well o.k?

I agree with Leon, as long as your skimmer is set up properly it will replace any cheap filter that it may have came with. Let us know how it all works out.
