| From what all I have read the blue and white lights each have their advantages in a reef tank. Please let us know what all you have the tank stocked with so we can accurately answer your question.

| You aren't real clear. Sounds like you have a power compaq correct? If there are 2 sets of bulbs they can be; 1 set = 1 actinic Blue and 1 daylight or 2 actinic and 2 daylight so you have a total of 4 bulbs. Let us know exactly what you have.

| Compact Fluorescent , IS STATED IN THE POST. You need the actinics to bring out the fluorescence in the corals. you need the white-daylight, for all photosythisis loving corals . ie. zoa's, clams, gorgonians, etc. PC's are basis "begginer lights (what I call them) The spectrum on PC's are not braod enough for light loving Corals, YOU can have corals under them, but to bring out the colors that the animals have in them, you will need HO-High output Lights, T5's MH and so fourth . 420 actnics are purple and then thers a 460(which I run) that is Blue. Hamilton makes a good T5 set up w/a 50/50- 2@actinics, and 2@10k. investigate before you spend

| You see reefmaster, he has fluorescents it seems! Probably standard T-10s not compaqs. I think that is what he means by"strips". You should get an actinic.
