I would try to ask arond on different forums and see if people have any used ones to sell. Odyssea is not a very good brand. I have 2 of their strips with no problems, but I can tell they are just made cheaply.

I just bought 48" (current) dual satellite 4x65watts today. I got it for $185. I hope this is good enough.

they all work but from what Ive read t5 are the newest technology. not alot of solid info because they havent been around for very long. I have sps corals and they do good under t5s. I dont think powercompact or satilite are as bright but they work too.

ive had the 48" 260wt PC fixture from odyssea for just over two years now and other than regular changes on the bulbs its been no problems at all for me. when i was buying it all i found was bad reviews and that they were cheap but from my experience no problem and $90 rather than 2-4 hundred was worth the risk for me to try.

I bought current dual sat. 48" with 230watts from a local lfs for $185. i regret not seeing that the t-5 from drs.fostersmith is $185 also.. bummer. i got impulsive again hehehe. anyway.. i'm close to cycling now. i'm buying a ro/di ( aqua-safe ) then a 5olbs LR by next week. any comments on ro/di from aqua-safe? i'll appreciate it.

Check out thefilterguys RO/DI Systems

I've heard good things about them, I just picked up replacement filters for my Captive Purity RO/DI unit from these guys...much cheaper...and I could be wrong, but I think 0 TDS is 0 TDS.
