 Advice on purchasing HOB filter for 60 gal reef tank going to be starting my reef tank again. going to buy new HOB filter tommorow and good suggestions?  |

| Re: Advice on purchasing HOB filter for 60 gal reef tank umm my suggestion is dont buy a HOB filter get a sump with a protein skimmer or a hang on back protein skimmer. The skimmer, live sand, and live rock is all the filteration you really need, or you dont have to get a skimmer and could get a hang on back refiugium with lots of chetto. |

| Re: Advice on purchasing HOB filter for 60 gal reef tank I have this one on my 30 gallon.Works great and easy to adjust.I actually took a grinder and removed 3/4'' off the bottom plate so I could turn it sidways in my sump.Does take up much room.Reef Octopus NW 150 Needle Wheel Protein Skimmer* - AquaCave

| Re: Advice on purchasing HOB filter for 60 gal reef tank Get an overflow its easyer since your tanks already running i got the single prefilter box prefilter box, siphon box, overflow box, siphon overflow, Eurobrace, Euro-brace, Euro-tank works great never losses siphon so i dont worry when the power goes out
