what are the best t5 on the market for a 48 inch 55 gallon tank these are my first real lights and i have a good amount of cash

I'd go with a ATI fixture because they have very good individual reflectors, cooling fans, multiple plug ins to help with simulating dusk/dawn, good ballasts, etc... ATI T5HO lighting units are still the best T5 units available. The number of bulbs will depend on what you want to have in your tank for corals.
