Tunze DOC skimmers

Has anyone used the Tunze DOC skimmer? If anyone has an opinion on this skimmer I sure would be interested to know how you feel about them.

I've used them before, very easy to setup and maintain. Without any fiddling or anything like that. I recommend them.

What do you think of them compared to a Euro Reef skimmer?

It depends really, do you have time to fiddle with a euro-reef? Most of the time you will have to make slight adjustments with a ER (Euro-reef)

Now I currently have a ER and love it, but I do love Tunze as well. High quality, German Engineering A+, and they don't break down like German Cars!

If you are going for a fish only setup, or with just live rock Tunze is fine, but if you are going to heavily stock it with fish and a lot of corals ER RC series is the way to go. Granted you will pay for it with the price difference.

Thanks for the info, it sounds like I will need an ER, I want to do all verities of corals and fish as well.

If you havnt alrdy bought your skimmer, ASM makes a skimmer that works on the exact same principles of an euroreef skimmer for about 30-35% less cost. That is what I use and it works extremely well.
