Default Would this be okay for soft corals?

I should probably stick to what I know will work. I know the Coralife 50/50 bulbs would do the job, but I'm trying to spend as little as possible. I saw these bulbs at Wal-Mart for about $6 apiece (18") and wondered if they would be okay for soft corals..

Fluorescent Aquarium Lighting: GE Aqua Rays Fresh/Saltwater Fluorescent Bulbs

Anyone have any ideas? Bad idea or would it work? If it's not a good idea, I'll just go for the Fluorescent Aquarium Lighting: Coralife 50/50 Lamps. I used one of these in my 5 gallon and the xenia is doing good in there.

So if anyone's ever tried these GE bulbs let me know.

Thanks!!
