Default Powerheads for reserve water

I wish to put pumps inside the containers I use to hold my reserve water (both fresh and salt) should I use recirculating pumps or air pumps to keep oxygen in the water until used?

I prefer powerheads if the container is large enough.

I use two powerheads and a heater in my water tub...

My friend just uses an air pump..

I think either would do the job

Thanks, I'll probably use the air pump, each container is only 30 gallons and I am sure I'll be using it so quickly the oxygen should be a problem. Thanks much for the input.
