Default 75 gal water Pump question

Hi!
I have a 75 gal. tank running with a fluval 405 filter but I want to go with a wet and dry system. I'm not 100 % happy with the fluval but it is working hard...
I have been reading a lot lately to learn about wet and dry and external water pumps. I have a hang on skimmer, so I don't want a wet dry with the skimmer.
I thinking of the PCX-30 (825 gph) but in some places I have read that the pump should rotate salt water (reef and some fish)9 to 12 times and in some places I have read that 3 to 4 times is enough.... I want to see some of your comments or some of the equipment that you are using before I make a decision. there are so many math quotations involve that even for a math teacher would be a good task.
would the PCX-30 be OK or not?
Thanks in advance to all.
Fernando.

It would seem to me that if you have a reasonably well running protien skimmer you shouldnt need a canister filter at all.Almost evert time someone complains about high nitrates around here it traced back to the canister filter.I have no idea what canister filter cost but im betting for the same amount of money you could get a great skimmer. You also might find that after a period of time you may save money by not buying all the stuff you have to replace in the canister.
