Most people like them, a few say that they are junk. The biggest complaint I hear about them is that they can be loud. If you do buy a CSS, make sure that you get the needlewheel version as they work much better than their venturi version.

I just got a Coralife 220 and am new to the hobby, but once adjusted - we just started our tank yesterday - it's amazing to me the amount of stuff that's coming out of it. It has a drain so you don't have to remove the collection cup - it goes through a small hose to a large bottle or whatever you want, and the adjustment seems easy, yet sensitive. It comes with the water pump, seems reasonably priced, and really generates a good mix of air and water to make the foam. We bought an air pump to ensure a good mix - a Rena Air 50. Again, I don't have anything to compare it to except what I've seen at our lfs (where we got it), but it seems to do even more than I expected so soon.

I have a CSS and it seems to be doing fine.It will take up to 3 days for the break-in period b4 you see any junk in the cup.You have to play with the bubble level a bit but you have to do that anyway on other skimmers. Can be sump or hang on mounted.
