Default Lighting Question

Does anyone have a good recommendation for a lighting cycle.
I have a 55 gallon tank.

Lighting is:
2.)65watt True Actinic 03 Blue compact fluorescent lamps.
2.)65watt 10,000K Daylight compact fluorescent lamps.
4.)Blue-Moon -Glow LED lamps

Would I do something like 12 hours Daylight lamps, 10 hours Actinic lamps then 12 hours of night with the leds?

personally I would run the actinics on 12 and the daylights on 10. Just as in nature, lighting starts out dim and gets brighter and then the opposite at the end of the day. I run my actinics on first then add the MH and to end the day MD off then later the actinics off. with moons running 24/7

Reefaddict,

Thanks for the reply. I just came accross a timer that will let me control all the lighting separately. I will set it up to have the actinics on first then followed by the daylight lamps. LED's only being 3/4 of a watt and life spans of 20 yrs or more I think I will leave them on all the time.

The led's at night are great.

You don't have to have the LED's on all the time. Actually some fish are confused of this. If you could get a controller device that does monthly moon cycles then that would be great!

Reefbuilders,

I was wondering since I have MH and a 6' foot actinic running, wouldn't that wash out the little amount of light being emitted from the leds?

You run the LEDs at night, when your other lights are all off
