Default sump/fuge question

Hi, does any one know what the max flow rate in GPH would be?My tank will be 48"L x 18"W x 30"H. Plans are to have one overflow at one end, with 2) 1-1/2" drains and 1)1" return also 2) more 1" returns at opposite end of tank. I plan to use 2) little giant M# 4-MDQX-SC one will power the two returns drilled in the tank opposite of the overflow wich will enter tank just above sand bed the other hole drilled in tank in the overflow will be connected to a spray bar under live rock. the second pump will be connected to an oceans motions OM squirt wich will provide wave motion to the top of tank. any suggestions or advise will be greatly appreciated. nothing is set in stone.
Thank you,
Scott

"flow rate" lol are you asking about turn over, laminar or volume exiting the tank? There's a pipe calculator on line you can google, if you could post a simple sketch that would help. Steve

1 pump as closed loop will only have plumbing restrictions to lower gph, the other will run aprox 1080 at 3' of head, the overflow "should" be able to keep up, I wonder if the combined return and spraybar might be a waste of time, the resistance of the spray bar will force the water out the other opening leaving the spray bar kind of passive?

Nice drawing! the spray bar, at the short end you may need a way to restrict it as it will become a spray jet and the spray bar will be weak, its just resistance at work

I have used spray bars in different systems. Water flow will go the path of least resistance. It is best to have dedicated pump for your spray bar. I tried using the return and spray bar there was very little flow from the spray bar to make it effective. Please keep your spary bar in there with a dedicated pump.

Thanks jvharding I have made some changes to it and will be doing a closed loop with the spray bar and bottom returns and the pump having its own 1-1/2" supply from the tank

Can you take pictures of your build please? These Spray bars make a huge difference in any tank I have them in a few of my installs. Thanks!
