Default Skimmer question

I've had my 150 gal tank set up for about a month now running a small skimmer. It cycled in about 4 days. I need to start looking for a properly sized skimmer to support a reef tank.

I was looking at either a ASM G-3 (350 gal) Protein Skimmer or ASM G-4 Plus Protein Skimmer (400 gal). Can anyone comment on these for my tank, would the G-4 be overkill, or is there a better choice skimmer out there for the money?

Thanks

well i think u should get an octopus or a lifereef but the g4 will not be over kill and is probably the best out of those 2 options.

the bigger the better. the skimmer is the most important thing one can buy for their tank.

What would you suggest in the octopus or lifereef for my setup if they are better choices?

lifereef- vs24 that is a nice good one but i think u might need to even go bigger than that one. and it is kinda pricey.
