Default Just so you'll know - Aqualight Systems

We spent close to a $1000 on an Aqualight Pro 250 light system. Out of the box, two of the 4 moon-glo lights did not work.

If there is a problem, the manufacturer gives specific instructions not to return the product to the point of purchase, but to call and 800#. Guess what? The number is incorrect and you are re-routed to another number. When you ask for warranty, they send you to a technical support person.

Instead of replacing a defective product, here is where you become an electrician. Aqualight will not replace defective units. They expect you to troubleshoot them, analyze the problem and FIX IT!

My local dealer was really ticked, and I was annoyed. Fortunately in a previous lifetime, I was an amateur radio operator and know my way around things electrical, so I was able to fix the manufacturing defect that caused the failure. However, if electrical things are a mystery to you, this post is to advise you not to expect much help from Aqualight...

Buyer beware. The Aqualight warranty is a joke. JMHO

Very true...unless you have unlimited funds... and even then, who's going to work on something as esoteric as a freakin' aquarium hood...
