This could generate a laundry list.It could be poor flow from the pump.A broken needle wheel.A blocked air line.Take the pump out and run it in a bucket of vinagar and water to clean it.While it is running see what the flow is like.Take the cover off the pump and see if the impeller and needle wheel are intact. Is the air line blocked? And not exactly in that order lol.

The cause almost always is one of the items listed by Nativevaman. I'd suggest cleaning the pump and air hose in vinegar or raising the pump higher in the water if it is much below the skimmer inlet so it doesn't need to push the water as high so you'll get more flow through the skimmer.

Thanks to both of you for the help. Even though I thought it had plenty of pump pressure, I took your advice and washed it with vinegar. The skimmer is back to working almost as good as new. Thanks again for the advice.
