Default halide light question

I currently have a 44 gallon corner tank, with a 130 watt powercon=mpact flourecent fixture. Thinking about adding a 175 or possibly 250 Metal halide to the tank. Currently I have 3 acropora frags, deresa clam, blue and red muchrooms, candy cane coral, various zoos, anethelia, green and white star polyps ect. I will probablyl make my own hood to house the lighting. Any suggestions Or would I be better off adding another flourecent fixture?

I would just get a t5/mh hood. I have a corner tank as well. Im guessing you dont have all the room in the world so adding a 8 inch mh would be a pain.

I was planning on supplementing the metal halide with the 2 actinics and making my own hood. Just want to give everything in the tank the best lite so they grow quickly

A 250 watt halide (14k or 20k) would be nice with some PC or T5 actintics.

Ordered another pc hood, I didnt want to worry about a chiller and my acros are already coloring up nicely with just 130 watts right now. Halides ar a nice t5 setup will come with the 75 gallon that I will be ordering soon
