Default Skimmer problem

hello, i bought a Nano remora skimmer today and the guy at my LFS gave me a Maxi-Jet 1200(normally the Nano Remora comes with the Maxi-jet 900). when start[plug in] the skimmer the bubbles rushed up to the Collection Cup and within 5 mins it filled up the whole cup with water....is this normal for a new skimmer? is my pump too strong? or what other reasons could cause this? help me please ill appreciate it alot..... thanks

It usually takes a few days for a new skimmer to "break in". You should be able to tune the skimmer to compensate for that.
