| i've been thinkin about getting a uv sterilizer for my 150 gallon reef, are they benificial if so what is a good model to put in the tank and not in a sump?

| What Nativevaman says is right but there is your options. UV or Ozone. UV kills beneficial bacteria for sure and some people feel the good they provide out weighs the bad. Ozone works great and gives you crystal clear water. If you have a malfunction with your equipment or even something as simple as a dirty probe you run the risk of killing everything in your tank. 150 gal I say Aqua UV sterilizer w/wiper 40 or 57 watts Last edited by jimw369; 11-24-2007 at 08:30 PM. |
