Default Mirrored background?

I've read a lot about painting instead of using a decorative background. Has anyone thought of using a mirrored background? I was thinking of making a very basic frame and using mylar to create an angled mirrored space, so when looking down on my tank you could see easily down behind the rocks.

I have heard that fish will attack there own image in the mirror. The background on my tank is the same stuff used to tint car windows but thicker and a medium blue. For what its worth the lfs said salt creep cant get behind it.

If memory serves me correctly - someone here did do a mirrored background. You might want to do a forum search.

yea its minimal, it just started to get worse yesterday, so today the lights will be off most of the day. I already had the full blown one before the live sand went in. I have some dark patches on the sand, almost black, what is that?
