Default Wavemaker

I plan on getting a wave maker within the next few months. I understand how they work and I know what the basic idea of a wave maker is. My question is:

Are you able to set the frequencey on this wave maker?

Red Sea Wavemaster Pro Wavemaker

I dont want to spend more than 150$. So, if there is one that is better, please share!

thanks for any info in advance!

I will look into my box of goodies. I think I have one. If you want it it will cost you shipping.

If I remember I tried it and didnt like it.

Have you thought about a sea swirl or oceans motion?

Elliott, keep in mind that if you have a HK ph, they don't work well with wavemakers.

John, please don't post the DIY link - remember who we're dealing with here!! Elliott, electricity & water - don't mix!!!

Yeah, I plan on getting a few moded mj's. I already have one. As for the water and electricity, It is all outside the water, so I should be fine.

Jim, if you do have one and are willing to part with it, Ill snatch it right up!
Yeah, I have looked into the sea swirl and ocean motion, but I figure if I can keep the powerheads I have now, why not.

I think if you ever stood on a reef when a wave hits or the tide goes out you would know that an effort to recreate them in a tank is at best futile.Save your money and a couple of flow deflectors.

as a wavemaker, i purchased a "blue throated Trigger" he loves to race across the top of the tank with his top fin out of the water,, makes a great wavemaker.

I dug it out this am. Ill take a pic of it and post it for you. Ill plug stuff into the back of it to make sure it works. I got it in a box of stuff that I bought mainly for the other things. I tried it and just didnt light my fire. Maybe you can get some use out of it.
