| duh..i got that much but how do the bubbles remove protein from the water in the form of white foam....thats what i dont get...plus do these little protein skimmers really work? keep that info coming. steve |

| the oceanic bio-cube protein skimmer for the 14 and/or 29 gallon bio-cube. $50 was about my limit for a protein skimmer...just dont have the real funds to invest in a good one, then again..i dont really have the space for much else in my living room. the skimmer chamber does fill up with foam but is it really doing anything for me?? steve |

| In a simplified explanation - the protein molecules have a water liking side & a side that doesn't like water. The side not liking water attaches itself to the air bubble & is pulled from the water. You'll have to replace the wooden air stone monthly or so.
