Any sugestions for lighting a 30 gallon mixed reef in the 150$ to 250$ range?36''x12''x18''

This would be all the light you need to keep anything you want in your tank.With the right flow that would include sps coral and clams.

What about the Dual Orbit 2x96w?That would be 6.4w per gallon.4x39w is only 5.2w per gallon.I thouth I needed at least 6w per gallon for sps coral?If T5s are better how about the Nova extreme T5s?Are they anygood?Would it be good enough for sps?Thanks for the input.

Adam the light fixture I recomended has the single lamp reflectors that allow light from the back of the bulb to be reflected into the the tank.the reflectors have 9 bends each to accomplish this.add that to the fact that t-5 operating temps are much lower than compact flourescents and you cant lose.you will see more light on the bottom of the tank from t-5's.When it come to bulb selection you will get more than with cf.I dont believe the nova extreme has the single lamp reflectors.
