Default Glasscages?

I am going down to Philadelphia in a few weeks to see the Grandmother for Christmas and i will be just about an hour from Allentown, PA. Glasscages.com has a shipping warehouse there(or something like that) that i can a tank shipped to for about 30 dollars, which is awesome. Are these good tanks because they are really cheap, or is it going to fall apart on me 3 months into this. And in case anyone was curious I am looking at a 65 gallon which is 4 feet long by 1.5 feet wide and tall. Thanks for the help.

If you get one you might want to ask when it was made. I have read some post on other web sites that had people complaining of them coming apart apparently from the silicone not being cured long enough. In other words you may need to let it set empty for a month or two. Do a Google and read some of what others have to say.

I did a lot of research on them when I was preparing to buy my tank a couple months ago. The biggest problem that people seem to have with them is that their silicone job can be a little messy around the joints, which can easily be redone. I probably would have taken a chance with a custom made tank with a starphire front panel if it wasn't for the $250 shipping to a place that was over 2 hours away. If you get one from them, just set it up outside first to make sure it doesn't leak or blow apart. If it is going to have any problems, it should show up within a few days.

For what it is worth I read all of the other sites warnings about problems with GlassCages, howeve nobody in my area could help me get a 300gal aquairum.... So I started working with them - I wanted one drilled in a one end overflow, 3 sided tank, bottom has 2 more holes at opp ends of tank. I picked it up in Ohio, they were very easy to work with, no issues, very inexpensive and so far (knock on wood) no leaks - that was Feb of this year. Only thing neg I could say is when you meet the truck to get your tank it is in a parking lot and they had issues with me not bringing help to load it, I had previously asked and was told not to worry plenty of others picking up tanks. Turned out to be a non issue as I could get pickup bed to his tailgate lift. I did have to wait a week for silicone to cure as tank was freshly made.
