Hydor Koralia ph plugs in. They now sell one called Nano for smaller tanks. Pushes 240 gal/hour.

I am contemplating doing 2 nanos for a 65 plus all the other movement. They would give me 480gph in a 65 gallon tank which is plenty just for the powerheads, right?

I would say it depends on how much flow you are getting from your return.I would recomend you get close to 20x the tank volume in flow for a minimum. If you plan on keeping sps you will want to bump that up to around 30X.Try to use at least three pumps to generate this flow as it will leave fewer dead spots.Using two of the pumps I jokingly call the Sunami 4000 crate a lot of flow and dead spots to go with them.I like the koralia pumps and recomend the use of there flow deflectors to create an erratic flow pattern.

Flow deflectors are pieces that go on the front of the pump. They give a spinning effect to the water.Threy about 20$'s retail.

Yes, I have heard there are better options when used in conjunction with a wavemaker.

The flow deflector I saw for the Koralia was an accessory.

The new Koralia's have the deflector packaged with the unit. I just bought an additional #1 which had the deflector. The one I bought about 6 mos ago didn't.

Yeah, Dale...I guess they didn't make as much money by selling it separately.

awjn and jeremy 0322. Before you go and buy any powerheads check this website out:
Fraggle Reef, Premium Corals and More

They have nano powerheads that make a flow of up to 250 gph and they are around $5. I just bought 4 for my 55 gal tank and they work great. A lot of powerheads add heat to the tank but these have the large plug that produces all the heat outside the tank. Anyway, they are quiet, very small, and put out a good amount of waterflow. I highly recommend them especially for the price.

I already bought mine, I got 2 Koralia 2's i think. I am using them in a 20 long right now but they are going to go in the 55 when i get it set up. I may also grab a 2 when it gets up and running, plus i will have to flow from the mag 7 return pump. I just dont know if I am going to use Loc-Line or a spray bar, just havent figured out which one is better yet.

Yea, you should be good with that. Depending on what your return is the powerheads alone would be 800gph, or almost 27x the tank volume.
