Default Overflow boxes

Anyone have any experience with selfpriming HOB overflow boxes. I see a lot out there but no word really on any brands or whether they are selfpriming or not. I would like to hear input if anyone has any first and good or bad experiences and with what brands. Looking for about 300gph box.

If you look around this section you will see a bunch of threads on them. A lot of people on here hate them but a few that have them say they are alright. It is better to get your tank drilled but if you cant do that it may work for you. Make sure there is enough room in the sump for overflow though in case there is a power outage or something like that.

I got my overflow box form Aquatraders and dont have any problems with it. I also got the aqualifter pump. It is not self priming, but the pump does it for you. So not there is no worry of flooding.
