Euro-Reef skimmers are really good skimmers. You won't be disappointed. To get a different brand of skimmer that performs better usually requires a lot more money, a lot of modding, or a sacrifice in construction quality.

EDIT: For a 12 gal tank though, it is way to big.

I believe their smallest is the rs 80. Probably still a bit large.

I'll need to pass on recommending a good skimmer for a nano. Even the RS-80 would, IMO, be too large of a skimmer for you.

in my opinion 430 dollars for a skimmer that will be on a 30 gallon setup is WAY to big. I am sure you can find something that will adequately skim the system for alot less than that. Take the extra money and start a nano or something.

I have a euro Reef RC 80, RC just means that it can be run outside a sump and has a recirculating design, versus the RS series. I love it. You could get it but it in your sump system and always have room to upgrade to a larger tank. Like a 90 gallon at least. The RC is a beast.

Yes I think for 30 gallons it is way to much ...although it is a great skimmer!
