Default AquaC remora pro too big for tank?

Hi. I wanted to but the AquaC Remora Pro with Mag 3. Specs are:
40-120 gallons
110 gph.
Is this too big for my 30 GALLONS?
I wanted very good water quality because I wated some inverts and 5-6 fish.
I'm building up to 35 lbs live rock and I have 2-3" live sand bed, and a biowheel filter 280GPH (which I was told to ditch).

That skimmer is on the upper end of the size limit for that tank, but it would still be alright.
