Default help with berlin turbo

Hi, I recently purchased a used berlin turbo off ebay with help from elliot and plecosword. It arrived today and I opened the box, everything seems to be there that is shown in the auction ( Berlin Turbo Hang-On protein skimmer complete SAVE $$$ - eBay (item 230207393412 end time Jan-06-08 19:36:38 PST) ). I decided to hook it up and try it out in the sink. Heres the results: https://home.comcast.net/~coppertop3...npump/pump.wmv

As you can see the pump is putting out pretty much nothing. Plecosword found the manual which includes a diagram of the pump: http://www.redseafish.com/languages/95/pdf/125.pdf on page 7 of the actual manual (page 6 in the pdf file) and it appears that the flow regulator is not there. If you watch the end of the video i tilt the whole unit up and you can see straight down into the impeller but in the diagram it shows the regulator should be there so you can connect a air hose to it, this is not there! The auction says everythign is supposed to be working great but obviously it is not if the pump is putting out pretty much nothing.
well let me know what you guys think.

so 20 people watched this video and have nothing to say about it? I actually found the regulator piece inside some of the newspaper in the box but it did not help the pump operate any better

I would take the entire thing apart and celan it as best you can. Use vinegar to soak everything in. Usually that will help a lot.
