| High pressure sodium bulbs are rare in this hobby but not unheard of.However the 70 watts is the killer.I have a few at work that are 100 watts most are higher.I am guessing that those are from 3 to 4000k and not at all suitable for an aquarium.I can look in some catalogues at work tomorrow. What base does your fixture have? |

| Medium base on the fixture. I realize that 70 is an odd size and what I'm looking for might not exist. Just trying to light up a small tank for cheap. This isn't for a reef system. When I did have time and space for a reef tank I did run metal halides. Just figured a reef forum would be a good place to find people that know lighting. thanks for the response |
