Default Water Circulation Question

I am trying to decide on how much water circulation I should have in my tank. More precisely, which size Hydor Koralia model I should go with. I have a 55 gal tank and I am trying to decide between the Koralia 2 and Koralia 3. The Koralia 2 pushes 600 gph, while the Koralia 3 pushes 850 gph. I had originally thought i would go with the Koralia 2 to begin with, and then add another one on down the road. But now I am thinking that I may want more flow to begin with. I am just setting up my first reef tank so any advice would be much appreciated!

Seios and Koralias are very similar in that their flow is very equal.

I had a pair of Seios m620;s in my 55 and did not like the amount of flow they produced. It is a much different kind of flow, more water movement, but less turbulent. I would go wiht 2 K-3's. But do your research and find out for yourself. You may want to go to your lfs and see if they will let you play around with one in one of their tanks.

I agree with Elliot. The flow is dispersed so you don't get the same type of flow that a powerhead produces. They move a lot of water, but they don't create the "jet" stream that powerheads create. Go with the K3s.
