You may have to just post pictures. I dont know if anyone on here will know what valves you have on your system. If the pipe is making a splashing noise you could try having your drain pipe go into a filter sock or some live rock, you could probably do the same thing with the rocks in your overflow aswell.

If the hose you are talking about is the ribbed flexible stuff I can understand the noise.Does the tank have an internal or hang on back overflow?

Thanks Jeremy and and Natt, Its an internal overflow and yes, it has the flex hose.. I think I am going to try using some "fluff" in the bio tank and some live rock in the overflow. and possibly change the hose to something other than the flex hose??? The tank looks awesome.. I went from a 55 to this 90 gallon oceanic star glass.. wow what a difference, but very loud at this point.. Im a beginner with this nice of a system so just entering the "learning curve".... I also just recently went to the live sand vs. the crushed coral, and i love the difference, much prettier. Thanks again for all your advice everyone. ~ciao Randy
