New light!

Just bought a new light!! It is a power compact with 2x65W 12,000K daylights,
2x65W true actinics, and 4 led moonlights I am hoping this will be enough light to start collecting some corals. Also, can I use regular lamp timers for my 3 different lights? Thanks, ahead of time. Deb

I just got a similar unit but mine are 2 x 96W - 1 daylight, 1 actinic + leds. They look awesome on my 30 gallon. You shouldn't have a problem with corals. I was using 2 X 55W combo bulbs for a few years with no problems. I plan on using regular lamp timers on mine.

it really depends on how big your tank is. and what type of corals you want to have. i had sps's under a 2x96watt pc fixture with no problem. but it was in a 50gal tall and they were pretty high on the reef.
