Default Halide Bulb

If I put 250 watt bulbs on a 150 watt fixture/ballast would it overload it, or blow the bulb?

More than likely the bulb is not burning as brightly as it should or at the right color temp.Neither the bulb or ballast will last long.

It would be harmful to the ballast and the bulb probably wouldn't even stay lit because it wouldn't have enough juice.

Ok now I know this is ridiculous but how about a 150 bulb on a 250 fixture?

Short bulb life or even, explode the bulb.
