Default Computer programs / equipment

Just curious if anyone knew about any good computer software for reefkeeping. I saw some online that only seem to keep track of your perameters. I was wondering maybe there was some that help measure water quality or anything helpful like that. Or is there anything cool that you guys like?
Thanks

Depending on you financial situation they make controllers like the Aqua Controller by Neptune that controls different aspects of you system via a programable box that can interface with your computer.

I picked up a used AquaController II from someone, it came highly recommended for my reef setup. The guy also gave me the AquaNotes 3.0 software....I haven't used any of it as yet, I still have quite a bit of work to get my system up and running.

There are several people in my reef club that own them they like the design very much. The software aquanotes really leaves quite a bit to be desired. However, some of the gang from my club got together and wrote a new peice of software that sits on top of aquanotes or maybe even replaces it (not sure I don't own one). The functionality is quite good. It sends them a daily email with I think 4 parameters graphed over the 24 hour period as well as sends an emergency email if one fails below a set critical limit. It also controls all there electronic items (lights, chillers, heaters, skimmers, steralizers, ect...). I am currently looking to pick one up used because they are quite expensive new out of the box.

Doesn't seem like they make the program for a mac. Seems like this option might be out for me..

I went from keeping a hand written log book to putting all of my tests in an excel spreadsheet.

It does what I need and it's free
