| Paul, have you considered looking into getting a better skimmer? Berlin's are known not to pull skimate out of the water. Good brands you might want to look at are the: Bermuda, Octopus, Coralife Needlewheel CSS. If you have a higher budget then look at: Euro Reef or Deltec. I have a Euro Reef RC80 and it pulls a lot of skimmate a day. But, you might not have enough load on the skimmer to be pulling much, but you should still pull some. |

| Hi what kind of pump is powering it? My inline blueline T4 createrd plenty of skimmate Now using RIO 2500 and at first it did not skim much, but it is creating lots of foam now. The RIO pump is decent price compared to Sedra Pumps which is the upgrade pump, I believe they offer. These skimmers work well if they are plumbed correctly. by the way using Ozone in mine! |

| I had the same skimmer you did, I now have TWO yes TWO euro reef rs-80's, they both pull crap out like no other, I only run the two because I won them at macna.. I am upgrading to an ASM g3 with gate valve mod soon (friend is breaking his tank down to a nano) I'd upgrade when your funds will allow so, it'll be a night/day difference for sure !
