Default Picture of simple sump set up

I am looking for a simple sump set up, pictures and explanations to help me get started on this one and get it set up right.

I got a 45 gallon and a Megaflow sump for it, eventually a skimmer will go in there, but for now I gotta get the sumps et up.

I plan on using a return flow pump of 500 gph and PVC as well as a hang on back box overflow for the tank.

I just want to get an idea of the placement of the PVC as well as return pump and all.

nativeman did the same pic for me and it works wonders for my 65 gal, i used my old 30gal as the sump. Juat make sure the barrier between return and refugium is almost all the way to the top f sump. If you have a 18in. high sump make the baffle 16in, with loose mesh at top to catch any algea tht may float away. But yes tht is the best thing and ezest tht he told me to do also.
