[michelle's ocean fantasy]

I've seen the pics of the red/orange and also the clear /opalescent color- but what is the rice looking stuff?
My clowns are being VERY protective of what looks like brown rice pellets attached to the back of a statue, they swim around the group, check it, dart at anything that comes near them.
What are they if not eggs?

Here is a picture of some clownfish eggs, these were on day one.

They will start changing to a more silver color by the time they hatch, and you will actually be able to see a couple tiny spots which are their eyes.
