Default Pairing Maroons

Hey guys,
I was just wondering what the best way to match maroon clowns is? as they are an aggressive breed (for a clown), and i do not want any incidents especially because he in the AUS a maroon clown can cost upwards of $70. i have one placed in the tank for around 2weeks and from the information i have received, it's best to put in a new one now before one becomes too dominant. I think the current one is male as it is bright orangy red. so my question is, do i buy another male, so that the dominant one turns female, should i buy a smaller maroon (because some articles suggest having a clear dominant and submissive partnership to create the sex change), and how should i introduce the new one into the tank without/reducing conflict?

When i put my two together i was in luck my lfs had a small one i was looking to buy with an anemone and then they had a much larger one that they let me put together to see what would happen.Well the larger one took over the anemone and they seemed ok, i watched for 40 min before i bought both...they are a great pair together...if your maroon is small then i would add a large one since it will take over as the female. This is them when i first got them last year, now they are now both really dark in color...one big one little

I would buy a much smaller one and let the one already dominant in the tank stay that way, I purchased both my yellow stripes from the same source two years apart, when I ordered the second I was very specific that I wanted a juvenile as they have no defined sex at that stage, I took precautions in the pairing, I pulled the established fish out of the tank and set her on a 5g tank, I divided the tank with eggcrate to allow the little one to scape if needed, I added both fish to the tank at the same time and she embraced him immediately, I expected some type of aggression but none was shown as she was clearly dominant

this were them just minutes after adding to the same 5g tank

hours later and after no sign of aggressiveness I added the anemone, she allowed him into the anemone without an issue

next day they went back into the main display and been living happily ever after.... get the juvenile!
